Maibec — Stained Nails
Maibec Stained Nails are hot-dipped zinc galvanized ring-shank nails with a textured head, factory-stained to match your Maibec siding colour. Designed for exterior applications, these nails help deliver a clean, colour-matched finish and long-lasting corrosion resistance.
Important: Stained nails must be ordered at the same time as your siding to ensure proper colour matching. Use the included plastic hammer cap to protect the stain on nail heads during installation.

Installation Guidelines
- Use Maibec stained nails when any tongue and groove system has been removed from boards. Sealants are not a substitute for nails and must not be used to hold boards in place.
- If a board requires adjustment by more than 1/16", secure it by nailing the bottom edge.
- Ensure a minimum penetration of 1" into a solid substrate for holding power.
- Drive nails flush with the wood surface (do not overdrive) to maintain a smooth, consistent finish.
- Use the hammer cap to protect the factory-stained nail heads.

Coastal Installation Requirement
In designated coastal regions, unstained stainless steel grade 316 ring-shank nails are mandatory for installing siding and trims when nails are used. Failure to comply will void warranties. Coastal regions include locations within 600 m (2,000 ft) of the coastline in Atlantic Canada (NB, PEI, NS, NL), Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, and U.S. East Coast states.
